Tankoa Launches Full-Custom 45m TX450 in Genoa

Tankoa Yachts has announced the launch of the first 45-metre TX450 motor yacht from its Genoa facilities. The fully custom project entered the water at the end of August, with the owner and family attending the christening alongside the shipyard team. An individual evolution of the T450 platform The TX450 is a four-deck, fully custom evolution connected to Tankoa’s T450 series. Giorgio Cassetta and Cassetta Yacht Designers are credited for the design, with NAMES responsible for naval architecture. The yacht measures 45 metres, with an approximately 8.8-metre beam and 2.1-metre draft. Electric capability at anchor The propulsion package combines electric motors, a battery bank and conventional diesel engines. Tankoa’s launch coverage says the batteries can supply hotel loads overnight at anchor, while upcoming sea trials are expected to verify a 15-knot top speed at half load and 14-knot cruising speed. Beach club and main-deck guest suites The yacht is arranged for up to 10 guests in five staterooms, with the owner’s suite and guest suites on the main deck. Her stern programme centres on a sea-level pool with two opening side platforms. When the tender and Jet Skis are deployed, the beach club can expand over three levels.
